This cross design was inspired by the Liturgical books of my church. My youth group decided to meet together at church and attend Ash Wednesday as a group. I wanted something to remember that day, and as I walked out of the pew, I spotted a design on the front of the Roman Missal. I took a picture, hand drew a back design, and had Eric make the pattern on Corel. This is the result. I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. I used 1/2 inch black walnut for the back and 1/4 inch white maple for the top layer. I'm planning on making one with a maple back and purpleheart front soon.
